Is Your Website Mobile-Ready?



Last month Google announced that as of April 21st, all websites that aren’t mobile-friendly will be penalized in rankings. 

So, no matter where your SEO has you now, this could drastically change if your site isn’t mobile-ready. 

What does that mean to you as a business owner with a website? It means that wherever you are ranking now thanks to your efforts (or lack thereof) in SEO, if your site is out-of-date and not optimized for mobile devices such as smart phones, your rankings in Chrome (and other search engines powered by Google) will decline.

So, this is the kick in the butt that you might need to take action on updating and upgrading your website!

If you have a WordPress site that isn’t mobile-friendly, consider reaching out to your web developer for help or switching to one that is mobile-ready. You might do a search for Best Plugins for WordPress or Mobile Ready Themes. You can also add pages using LeadPages to an existing WordPress site, which help convert clients but are also mobile-friendly.

Like tax day, the D-day for Google flipping this switch is April 21st. Don’t let that make you panic, since it is right around the corner. Instead, take action now to make your site mobile-ready!

As you know I’m technically challenged. A call to my webmaster indicated that my website needs to be upgraded to make it mobile-ready.  She took care of it within an hour and now my website is mobile-ready.I suggest you contact your tech person to find out if you need to take action.
